As you probably noticed, I'm not blogging very much lately. I don't want to quit blogging, but I also don't want to continue like this. So, I decided to make a tumblr account. Here I can post pictures in less than two minutes, which is very convenient with my busy schedule.

With spring coming up, the stores are filled with the prettiest garments. Two big trends for spring/summer are bright colors and patterns. What a coincidence that almost everything I recently bought, has either one of those!

This cute dress I found at Zara has a floral pattern and a white ribbon to tie around the waist.

This pale pink summer coat is perfect for the chillier days. It's by H&M.

The material of this dress by H&M is really soft and flowy. I can already picture myself wearing this to the beach or something!

These shorts are highwaisted. Because it's really flowy, it almost looks like a skirt when I wear it. This one's by H&M as well.

I can't wait to wear all this stuff. Hurry up spring!!

Living in a world with the ability of internet, I think we all have several website that we check out daily. I thought it would be fun to show you my daily reads.

First of all, We Heart It (http://weheartit.com). Whenever I have a free minute, I go here. It's a place where people post and "heart" (comparable with the "like" button on Facebook) pictures from every category you can possibly think of. If you're (getting) into photography, just like me, this will be heaven.

Snakes Nest (http://outofabook.blogspot.com) is the blog of 18 year old Bethany Struble. She lives in Los Angeles and has the cutest daughter named Kylie. She makes beautiful pictures and has a great sense of style!

Fashion, food and lifestyle are perfectly balanced on Emily Schuman's blog Cupcakes and Cashmere (http://cupcakesandcashmere.com). She makes food look so delicious that I actually want to try it, before saying I don't like it. And she impresses me with outfits and interior design over and over again.

Last but not least Lookbook (http://lookbook.nu). This website is like window shopping to me. I see it, I want it, I possibly buy it. It's great to see styles from all over the world.

Put a ring on it

Whenever I see a picture of Mary Kate Olsen, the first thing I notice is the amount of (big) rings she is able to cover her fingers with. I admire that in a very positive way and I even attempted to overload my fingers with rings as well. Attempt failed. Non of the rings I own are big enough to even get close to the whole 'over accessorized' thing Mary Kate supports.

But I came across these three beauties that get pretty close to over accessorizing.

This week I finally get to relax a bit, thanks to my teachers who finally realized that we (the students) are exhausted. I'm using my time to blog, to work on my portfolio and to go to my physiotherapist. This last one is because my back is hurting like hell since last Friday.

I have a tendency to put on a hoodie and sweatpants in the early mornings before school, just because I'm tired and don't feel like dressing up. I oblige myself to put some effort in to my outfits, though. So I mostly reach for the more comfortable (but stylish) items in my wardrobe, like this oversized jumper, to feel like I'm in sweats, but still look appropriate.

Weekend Getaway

I'm spending this weekend by the sea to escape the daily grind (which consists of school, homework and more school). I'm doing as much of the things I love but normally can't because of my busy schedule. I went swimming, made homework (something that's unfortunately forced and glued into my life), went to the boulevard and had some sort of lunch at my favorite cafe.

This weekend was very relaxing and inspiring. Also I developed an obsession for some random things I wanna show you in this post.

Lovely pink and white tulip's my mom bought on my request. Their bright colors make it seem like spring came back early. And everytime I'm in the kitchen (where they stand) I just can't help but admire them for a few seconds.

My new pale pink summer coat by H&M, which is fitted in the waistline. I can't wait for the temperatures to rise so I can wear this beautiful darling.

I got totally addicted to the sweet but sour taste of pomegranate. Excuse the crappy picture, it was made in dark circumstances.

I've already eaten three big slices of this delicious chocolate cake I baked yesterday evening. It has chocolate frosting and mini M&M's as well. So not healthy but so tasty!!

The upcoming week I'll be very busy because I've got a test on every single day. I wish it was almost weekend again!!

While shopping in Antwerp today I bought these great knitted shorts at Bershka. I've been wanting a pair of knitted shorts for a while and now I can finally check them off my wishlist. :D

Yesterday I went to the movie theater to check out "Burlesque", and I LOVE IT!!! I bought the soundtrack in Antwerp today and I just keep singing and dancing along. The movie is really worth a visit!!

Sunday afternoon walks

After Christmas the snow began to melt and the temperatures began to rise. Today the sun even came through, which almost made me think that it's spring.

I started this day sleeping in and watching Cougar Town (me and my mom's latest addiction). After that I went to the local park for an hour long walk. Usually I'm not a big fan of long walks, but this time I enjoyed it and I might even consider doing it more often!

Today I've been looking back at the past year. And while I did that, I realized I experienced some great and unforgettable things.

I went to Turin twice, which I really enjoyed. I met the sweetest people there (as you can read in this post: http://myidiseed.blogspot.com/2010/05/time-of-my-life.html) and I'm still in touch with them.

At the first fashion show I ever attended I got to go backstage. This was a great experience!

Last acquisitions of the year

The past two weeks I went shopping four times, the last four times of this year. What I bought is wearable for all seasons. This is a good thing since my eyes are already drewling over the spring/summer collections but the weather is still forcing me to wear knits, or at least layered outfits.

The first thing I got is a floral cardigan by Amisu via New Yorker. It's an item that can make any plain outfit pop.

The second thing is a white, loose tee (also wearable as a dress) by H&M. A basic item that looks good with pretty much everything in my closet.

And last but not least, my new boots by Trend One. I noticed them right away because of their fun stitches. They are perfect since I needed a pair of flat boots (Yes, I consider these boots to be flat. Flat enough at least!) because I'm not wearing heels out in the snow and I was getting sick of my Ugg look-a-likes.

I'm off to have a drink with my dad and my grandma now. Enjoy your day!

Merry white christmas

Merry christmas!!! I hope you all got nice presents! I sure did! I got perfume from my uncle which smells delicious, three books and Chanel nailpolish from my grandparents and some other things.

The view outside is lovely. Everything is covered with snow and the sun is shining brightly. It's pretty cold but I survived taking pictures without a coat and gloves.

Here in the Netherlands we don't really celebrate Thanksgiving, but I do like the idea of being with your family. That's why I am wishing you all a happy Thanksgiving!!

I wasn't in the mood for dressing up this morning so I just went for the basics in my closet. I did get some compliments on it though.

Also, instead of wearing my hair just plain loose, I went on a different road by making a messy bun. Something I'll definetly try more often!!

I have to go study now because I have my first real exam on Monday!! Kinda stressed about that!

I've always admired Mary Kate Olsen. Her bohemian chic style is in a way that only she can pull it off. Her twin sister Ashley is a little to safe it comes to that. That's why Mary Kate is my favorite. She thinks out of the box.

She looks good in everything. Probably even in a trash bag!

The impossible became possible

On October 19th my dad came home late and called me downstairs. I did what he asked me to and when I came into the living room there it was, the September 2010 issue of Vogue US. I was like: "That's impossible because we gave up the hope to find it and and and...". I was astonished!

I have been browsing through it and reading some of the articles and I'm amazed by the number of adds I've seen. Probably more than articles. This is, ofcourse, in a positive way because nothing shows the trends better then the adds.

Through this post I want to thank my uncle for searching the web to get me this issue, and my dad, because he drove to the other side of the country to get it for me.

No walks allowed

An outfit with my new ZARA sweater and new H&M booties (after waiting for two months, they're finally mine!).
I wore these two items to my friend's birthday party yesterday. I thought that was a good choise, considering I wouldn't have to walk any long distances. Well, no. Somehow the idea came to life to have a walk around my friend's neighborhood. That fun walk turned into a painful one when we had been walking for about 45 minutes and my feet slowly started to get sore. When I got home I immediatly pulled out my shoes. And there it was, a huge blister on my right foot.

OUCH!!

I can't describe how curious I am to see the rest of the collection and how I'm longing to have one of these items in my closet. It really sucks though that everything comes out on a Tuesday (November 23th), because I'm in school that day and won't be able to wait in front of my computer. I guess I'll have to let someone order for me or something...

Maternity fashion

I've always had this thing for pregnancy and maternity clothing. I just think pregnancy is such a magical thing you should really enjoy, not that I have any experience if it comes to being pregnant, but it just seems that way to me. I also think you should not hide your baby belly, but accentuate it with a lovely (belly proof) outfit. Which to me are mostly dresses.

First experience

I can't apologize enough for all my lack of updates. But since I've blogged so little I have achieved many high marks in school, and that's very important to me. Again I hope you understand my situation, and to also bring some good news to you: in two weeks, I have a week off from school, which means I have all the time in the world for blogging!!

That said and done, let's go to the real subject of this post: the fashionshow where I've been to on Thursday. It was in Rijsbergen and the clothes were from all types of different brands. I got to have a look backstage to see how things work at a fashionshow and I was able to take some shots for my blog.

Surprise surprise, an outfitpost in the middle of the week. I actually had an hour of free time, can you believe that?!

My inspiration comes with bursts. After that it's mostly gone for a few days, sometimes even weeks. Today I've reached a new period filled with inspiration, which had been gone for a couple of weeks. I'm really happy with that, because the more inspiration I have, the better I'm able to create fashionable outfits. Which can sometimes lead to making a blogpost before making my (more important) homework. Shame on me!!

Yesterday I went to the musical Mary Poppins in Scheveningen with a group of 21 girls. It was a lot of fun and the musical was totally worth the money! The acting, the dancing, the singing, the decor, the costumes and the lighting, everything was "Practically Perfect"!

This was the outfit I wore. The dress is new (H&M).

School still takes away a lot of my time, which means that I won't be able to update regularly. I'm not happy with it either, but that's life I guess!!

Sorry for the lack of updates. School turned out to take more of my time than I expected. The moments I did have time, the rain had ruined my entire outfit (oh how I love The Netherlands).

It's really getting cold here (this morning I could even see my breath when I was outside!!), so I've decided to bring out my scarves again. The one I'm wearing right now is by Motivi, I bought it in Turin last month.

A few days ago I received an e-mail about the opening of a new website called http://www.freddy.com/, and a blog that comes with it named http://www.thesloungeway.com/.

Two websites that I now visit on a regular basis.

Now you might wonder what Slounge means. ( I can't get enough of this word :D)

The real life begins again

One year anniversary!!

Today it's been exactly one year ago since I started this blog. I can't really believe that time went by so fast, because I feel like I started two or three months ago.

Showing my outfits on the internet made me more aware of my style and my figure. I'm not super skinny, so I need to watch out with wearing tight shirts and dresses. When I go shopping now, I think twice before I buy something instead of just buying it and finding out two months later that I actually hate what I bought or that it doesn't really flatter my figure.

Tomorrow I'm starting my second last year of high school which means that I will already be getting exams. So there are going to be some moments that I'll have less time for blogging, because school comes first.

For the rest I've planned to make as many outfitposts as I can. My goal is to make one at least three times a week, but I don't now my schedule yet, so we'll see!

A day away

This is what I wore to The Efteling today. It's a really basic and comfortable outfit because I had to walk all day and a dress or a skirt wouldn't be very convenient doing that. (Even though I prefer to wear a dress or skirt almost every day).

I had a lot of fun with my mum, my grandparents and my two cousins; Jochem, 8 years old, and Merijn, 2 years old. I don't have much pictures but I picked out the best ones to give you an idea of what I was wearing.

Oh, and I would almost forget: this Sunday my blog exists exactly 1 year!! Yaaaay!!!! You can definetly expect a special post dedicated to that!! :D

So, this post was supposed to be an outfit post with these booties, but, thanks to the blind people at H&M, it's not.

Here's what happened...

About a week ago I found these drop dead gorgeous booties made out of real suede at the online shop of H&M. I ordered them with 25% discount and couldn't wait for them to arrive. And yesterday they did. I tried them on but they were way to big. Turned out they sent me a size 41 instead of the size 38 I ordered. That's three sizes bigger. How blind can you be?

Anyway, I planned on wearing them today but that didn't happen. I think the right size will arrive somewhere mid-September.

Tomorrow I'm going to the Efteling (a big amusement parc in The Netherlands) and I promise that I will FINALLY make an outfitpost again.

School starts again on Monday and I'm gonna post more often from then.

The good old days

When my grandmother was looking through some of her old stuff a little while ago, she found these two things which she got in a perfumery when she was young. She called me right away and asked if I was interested in having it. Ofcourse I was!!

This is a silver Oscar de la Renta mirror. The discoloration of the silver proves that it's pretty old and gives it a vintage touch.

And the other thing is a soap dish by Gianni Versace. Gianni is the founder of Versace and brother of Donatella. He was killed in front of his own house.

But about the soap dish, it's red with gold and grey marble (not real I think), and it looks really luxurious.

I'm not really gonna use this stuff but I put it on a cabinet in my room as decoration.

So, grandma, if you read this, thank you so much!! I love it!!

I'm home!!

I had the best time in Turin!! I drank Frappé's, ate Pizza, Pasta and Gelato and visited a lot.

I got this dess from Elena. She bought at it Pimkie but never worn it. I liked it and it fits me so now it's mine! :D

We went to the stadion of the winter Olympic Games in Turin. It has a big mall where we went shopping.

Me and Elena tried on a pair of heels at Zara. They were impossible to walk on!!

The number of days between May 5th (the day I came home from my last trip to Turin) and August 13th (today, the day I'm going back) was exactly 100. So every morning when I woke up, I checked my calendar to see the days that were left. Until the very last day, which is today.

Okay, a little less speechy (is that a word?) now.

THERE ARE NO WORDS TO DESCRIBE HOW EXCITED I AM!!!!!!!

I'm all packed up and ready to go!! Turin, here I comeeeeee!!!!

Oh, and I almost forgot to say this, I leave tonight about 7 PM and come back on Sunday 22th of August. That means I'll be gone for nine days. I'm only gonna make a blogpost if I really really want to. Because this is a relax vacation, and I don't want to be forced to do things.

I hope you guys understand and to make it up to you I promise I'll make a blogpost about what I did in Turin when I come back (that will be on August 23, because the 22th I come home in the middle of the night)

I went shopping in Oberhausen yesterday hoping I'd come home with so much clothes...

...I came home with two things.

A blue Pimkie dress which I got on sale for €5,- (it was €16,- before!!)

A long and thin scarf from WE, also bought on sale (bought for €2,95 used to be €9,95!!)

It's striped,white with navy blue.

I hope to get some more stuff in Turin (I'll leave this Friday and will make a blogpost before I go) and Milan (where I'll be going one day during my vacation in Turin).

Fashion pendant

When I was at the evening market in Middelburg last week I saw this really cute pendant with a scissor, a bobbin thread and a thimbleful. I loved it right away because it expresses my love for fashion and making/designing clothes so well. Unfortunately it wasn't made out of real silver, and it was already discoloring.

So, this week I went to our local jeweler and asked if they had something familliar. Guess what, they had the exact same pendant (in real silver ofcourse) but I had to order it because it wasn't in stock. That's what I did and today I could finally pick it up.

I love it!! It's on the necklace I wear every day and it's already a part of me!! :D

I'm at my grandparents in Flushing (Vlissingen) again and today I got these shoes from Victory. I think everyone should own a pair of this type of shoes because they are ideal when you don't feel like wearing heels or when you have to walk a lot.

According to my agenda, I have summervacation right now. According to the weather, I also have vacation, but in the season named fall.

Tempatures are about 20ºC, not to mention the pouring rain. Can someone tell me why I still have a pool and two sunbeds in my backyard? And why this is called SUMMERvacation?

This morning I had to go to school for the last time to pick up some stuff and now I have 7 weeks off!!! No school until September 6th!! How lovely!!

My dad made these pictures at the "Bliksemschicht". It's a tower with an amazing view over the highways and the Trans-European high-speed rail network (which you can see on the 6th picture). The "Bliksemschicht" is about 18 meters high.

Review: The September Issue

Yesterday I bought "The September Issue". As you might know, it's a documentary about Anna Wintour and the making of Vogue's September Issue.

I watched it this morning and I must say I was really impressed. I expected it to be only about Vogue, but they also showed a lot about Anna Wintour's personal life. It's a combination of interviews and things that were filmed at the Vogue office in New York.

You really get to see the real person behind the name "Anna Wintour". At work she's kind of bitch. She has no other choice of being that because Vogue is a trendsetting magazine with a big reputation. If Anna doesn't like something, it won't come in the magazine. If she doesn't like the result of a photoshoot, it has to be redone. If she doesn't like the fabric or color the designer used, she tells him or her to remake the collection. She's like the queen of fashion!!

You also get to see her at home with her daughter. And that's where her sweet side shows up.

I can really recomend you to watch this docu. If you like fashion, you'll love this!!

Today is my 15th birthday!! I got some really nice presents which I will be showing you in this post!!

This present I got from my grandma. IT'S CHANEL ALLURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The one I wrote about a few posts ago and wanted to have sooo bad!!! Aaah I LOVE IT!!

This is "Faith, Hope and Love. Also got this from my grandma. She has the same one in gold.

I got this from my other grandparents. It's a plastic bag with memo notes which you can pull out! How funny and original!!!

I also got some money, an H&M giftcard, some candles and stuff and I got a shirt for my dancing class and a lounge cardigan kinda thing. Well, nothing that really has to do with my blog!!

Anyway, I had a blast (and still having) today!!!

Yesterday I went to my grandparents in Flushing (Vlissingen) to celebrate my 15th birthday. My official birthday is on the 11th of June, which is this friday!!

It was really hot outside and the only place where you could find a nice breeze, was at the beach. I asked my mum to make these outfit pictures for me. Thanks mum!!

There were a lot of jellyfishes. I didn't want to risk stepping on one of them so I stayed out of the sea. I would have loved to take a dip though. Maybe next time.

Yesterday I got back from my trip to Turin. I absolutely LOVE it there!!

The easter market was really nice. There were all these little stalls with jewelry, clothing, candy and even toothpaste (isn't that ridiculous!!).

As I had already predicted, I didn't leave this market empty handed. I got a really nice ring which is an amazing addition to my everyday jewelry (third picture), and a pair of tights with lace roses (last picture).

Today I felt like wearing all my new items at once. Of course I couldn't so I chose the items I wanted to wear the most and finished the outfit with some basics.

For today's outfit I wanted to make vintage pictures. The dress I'm wearing is from the same H&M order as the Garden Collection blouse from the last post. I really like it because it look's classy, vintage and sexy at the same time.

I think my favorite trend for spring/summer '1o is definitely florals. Florals matched with nudes and basics. But recently I feel like I'm really getting into vintage. Well, my style is still a bit on it's way to get discovered. Like a puzzle; I'm slowly finding the right pieces to finish it.

Because of the nice and warm weather today I wanted to make pictures on our rooftop. They came out pretty good! Altough the (warm) wind did like to play with my hair.

Today I chose to wear this skirt (which isn't high waisted, but I like it better this way) because it has a really basic print and it gives me an instant "it's almost spring/summer" feeling. Have you noticed it's only two days till spring!! (Yes, I'm counting down the days). I really try to put that in my outfit's by wearing less dark colors and more brights/nudes.

Number 5: Amanda Seyfried in Armani. Really pretty dress. Makes me think of waves.

I'm done with my winter wardrobe. Seriously, I'm done.

I feel like there's a lack of personality in every single item. I also think there's a lack of color and prints.

Unfortunatly I still can't wear everything from my spring wardrobe yet. But since I think it's impossible to put any creativity in my winter wardrobe, I decided to be a little rebellious and just wear my spring items. So, today I chose to wear my vintage flower dress. Feathers and a bun

Lovely sunshine (which only needs to get a little warmer, but I'm not complaining!)

I've always liked spring!

Okay, it's not really spring yet, but it comes really close!! I've never had to wait long for spring, but this year I was almost begging for it. We had sooo much snow!! And now, after four months of snow, finally the sun travelled to this small country and brought some warmth!!

Yesterday I got these lovely brooches from my grandmother. They are made of bread dough!

I think a nice vintage/antique brooche adds a little cuteness to your outfit. I personally like to pair them with some basics. For example a white tee with a cute skirt. And when I'm wearing a brooche (or more) I try to wear less accessories.

Somehow, I never manege to actually read the book. I love books, that's not the reason why, but I'm always busy doing other (less interesting/important) stuff. Yesterday I went shopping (again). I tried on a lot, but eventually got these three things:

Me and my ideas....,
I thought it would be funny to make an outfit post with my cat involved.
So, what do you need to pursue that idea?:
- a camera including timer-->check
- an outfit to show you-->check
- a cooperative cat--> non check, she just didn't feel like joining me on the pictures.
